Famous for their unique and luxuriant black and white fur pattern, pandas are endemic to south central China and are a member of the Ursidae family. Although pandas, like all bears, are technically considered carnivores, their diet consists of 99% bamboo!
Scientific Name: Ailuropoda melanoleuca
Characteristics: If you look closely at this figurine, you can see the thumbs that pandas use to help them hold and eat bamboo! Fantastic as toys, tools in a classroom, or as additions to your ever-growing wildlife figurine collection, all Safari models are hand painted and crafted with the utmost attention to detail.
Size and Color: 4.4 inches long and 2.5 inches tall this figurine is about an inch longer than a deck of cards stood on its side. Interestingly enough, scientists aren’t sure why the panda has such a unique black and white coat, although many believe it provides them with camouflage in snowy and rocky habitats.
