In 1999, a couple in Massachusetts noticed a kitten in their yard. They were concerned about its well-being until they noticed a crow was feeding it...it was feeding it what a crow would eat - worms and bugs - but still, better than nothing!

The couple eventually took the cat indoors and named it Cassie, and they called the crow Moses. In the morning, Moses would appear at their door, looking for his friend Cassie. Then they would go outside and play together until it was time for Cassie to come back inside.

Corvids, like crows and ravens, are some of the most intelligent birds alive and have shown to be able to use tools, remember specific individuals and communicate complex ideas amongst themselves. Still, it's unknown why a crow decided to "adopt" a kitten, in this particular instance.
