  • While it may be hard to study creatures in a dark cave, but these glowing critters make it easy! Including a glow in the dark crayfish, crab, spider, scorpion, catfish, millipede, olm, and eel, this Toob gives you luminescent insight into some common cave denizens.
  • Characteristics: Turn your room into a glowing grotto with these beautiful figurines. Vibrantly colored and professionally hand painted, these models capture the nature and essence of these creatures. The scorpion was spooked by something and is taking a defensive posture, while the spider has perked up, sensing prey in the area.
  • Size and Color: 1.5 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and 12.8 inches tall, this Toob is a bit larger than the size of a standard American ruler and contains 8 figurines of species that are commonly found in caves (although not usually quite so radiant) that range from 1.25 to 3.75 inches tall. Including the snow white Olm salamander with its cherry red sensory organs and the translucent icy blue crayfish, these figurines are just as fun to look at as they are to play with.

Crayfish Crayfish, also known as crawfish, live in freshwater and look like small lobsters. Found in streams and lakes worldwide, Crayfish feed on living and dead animals as well as plants. They are usually 3 in long and weigh 8 lb. Crab Found in oceans, fresh water and on land in tropical regions, crabs are invertebrates, meaning they have no backbone. There are more than 4,000 species of crabs in the world and these omnivores can grow up to 13 ft. Spider Spiders, eight legged creatures with fangs that inject venom, can be found in every continent except for Antarctica. There are over 40,000 species of spiders and they are classified as arachnids, not insects. They are known for building sticky webs to trap their food. Scorpion Seen with their claws, segmented tail and poisonous stingers, Scorpions can grow up to 8 in and are found in all land masses except for Antarctica. These carnivores, commonly thought of as desert dwellers, are fluorescent under ultraviolet light and scientists do not know why. Catfish Living in freshwater habitats and coastal regions everywhere except Antarctica, catfish are easily identified and got its name by its barbels, long whiskers that protrude from its mouth. They have a carnivorous diet and can grow up to 106 in. Millipede Millipedes got its name from the misconception that they had 1,000 legs but in fact, they have up to 400 legs. They are detritivores, organisms that eat decaying or dead animal and plant matter and they can be found outdoors in damp areas. Olm Olms, often called cave salamanders, have snakelike bodies that can be up to 12 in long. These creatures are blind so they rely on smell and sound in dark caves. Eel Inhabiting both fresh water and salt water, eels are snakelike with long bodies, are scaleless and are very flexible. They can grow be anywhere from 2 in to 13 ft and are nocturnal, often hiding in sand, mud or rocks.
