History:

Wolves are predators that live in the northern woodlands of North America, Europe and Asia. They are known to hunt both solitary and in packs, and in larger groups can even bring down bison, moose or muskox, though single wolves usually hunt smaller prey, like rabbits and hares.

They track their prey by following footprints and the animal's scent. Once they locate the animal, they will give chase once it runs. An animal that stands its ground is less likely to end up on the menu.
