Product Description

History

Wyverns are European dragons, although they may have originated in Africa. Due to their usually feisty and often malevolent nature, they have not been studied closely. It’s unclear where exactly wyverns fit in the dragon family tree, but they can always be distinguished by their hooked snouts, large wings, and two legs.

Story

Drake felt a thirst for adventure from an early age. His parents were circus performers, so his spare time was spent swinging from impossible heights or playing with dangerous animals. It should come as no surprise, then, that upon discovering an abandoned dragon egg, he sought to hatch it himself. The circus folk carried many books of legends and spells, so he learned the proper methods and incantations to hatch a dragon egg, and hatch it did, revealing a red baby wyvern, small wings tucked close to its body. Drake worked hard to imprint on the dragon from birth, a feat rarely attempted, and the dragon overcame its dangerous nature and became a tame friend. It grew quickly, sprouting horns and teeth and talons. Within a year, it could fly miles high, its powerful wings creating deep echoes overhead. For that reason, Drake named it Thunder, and the pair were inseparable.

Present Status Thunder and Drake tour the world regularly. Their stunt-flying show sells out weeks or months in advance. Their death drop— a trick where Thunder flies upside down, causing Drake to plummet to the ground before Thunder gently catches Drake back into his saddle— is said to cause fainting in the stoutest of constitutions.
